Nothing tragic or horrid happening here ... just DD's English final today.
She's been holding a B+ in her English class the entire school year. English has always been one of her strongest subjects, but for whatever reason, she just can't seem to deliver exactly what it is her teacher this year wants. She's stayed after school to work with her on writing assignments and taken advantage of every opportunity for extra credit and points, but still can't seem to break through that B+ barrier into A level scores.
She found out earlier this week she is .2 away from an A- and figured she needed a 91 on her final to get the A she wants so badly. There was a written assignment, done at home, that she handed in on Monday and she has no idea or feel for how she did on it. I helped quiz her last night on terms and vocab, and if it's a multiple choice exam, she may pull it off. If not, well, it's questionable.
So if you would all be so kind as to send some good English vibes her way, we'd both be thrilled.
Thanks!
Jules

Mine had the Art History final yesterda and a Math test (not the final) today and is sort of stressed. This morning she said "what's the point of a big end-of-year test anyway? Isn't there a better way to make sure we learned the major content?" I did not have a good answer.
Last day of school is next Wednesday - then there are 1 or two tests. I think she's finally done for the year on 6/21.
