OK so dd had a doctor's appointment yesterday. I had to work, so my mother in law took her for me. It was her birth control making her upset to her stomach. So he put her on a new pill. But now I think I'm going to have a talk to her about it. In case she hasn't read the pamphlet or understood it. I am going to mention that she can get pregnant if she misses a pill etc. and kind of ask in a round about way if they are doing something.

She is still working. Doesn't really like it, but I've told her welcome to life dd. THis is the way its going to be for the rest of your life. Mabe not at this job, but for now you have to deal with it.

I went through that with DD. I suggested that she take her pill at night with either a glass of milk, a bowl of ice cream, a pudding cup or something like that. She would sleep through the worst of the queasiness. Plus taking it while brushing teeth at night is a pretty good way to remember to take it.

I know these talks aren't easy but they do get easier over time and you will find that this is a wonderful way to develop trust between the two of you (something DD and I were desperately lacking).

I have to ask - did MIL know she was on the pill and how did she handle that? My DD would just die if MIL knew about that part of DD's life!!

Anyway, I'm glad that's all it was.

Yes MIL knows she's on the pill. She talks about everything with dd. She just turned 69 and she used to be a reg nurse. I know its rather unusual that she'd be alright with talking about that sort of thing with dd. To top it off she's also British and was brought up in the strict family life.
So dd seems to be feeling much better on this pill.
