Hello, this is my 1st post.. I don't know where else to turn. Non of my friends have teenage girls and my daughter is out of control!

I have been divorced from her father since she was 4 months old, this is the only life that she has known,

I don't want to give you a flippant response, because this sounds like a bad situation. Of course, it sounds like you and your DD could use some counseling. But have you considered selling some of her designer duds and other luxuries on eBay? That might cause her to stop and think.

Oh, well, as I said, I didn't mean to be flippant in my response. It sounds like you are doing what you can. If she won't speak to a counselor, is there another adult she might feel more comfortable talking to--a relative, family friend, coach, guidance counselor...anyone? Something is obviously bothering her; this seems like more than the usual teenage attitude.

I agree with you ej, this is more than normal teenage attitude.

I don't know how helpful this is going to be but here's a thought or idea.

Thank you all for your advise, comments, concerns and care. Obviously I cannot explain everything that is going on with my daughter however I know that we need counseling BAD!

Just to point something out, when I mentioned "Hitting" it was not from me!! I do not hit my children because I was raised being spanked, hit with switches and belts and I swore when I had children I would not follow that path. (I used to think this is why they were so out of control & that I should have been spanking) My daughter is the one who is lashing out
