My DD and Dear Abby...

My daughter often reads Dear Abby's advice column in the newspaper (she peruses the newspaper while having breakfast) and often remarks how much she disagrees with Dear Abby's advice to teenagers.

I wonder who writes "Dear Abby"
Hahaa - Dr. Laura used to play on the radio where I worked and we had no choice but to listen to her cockeyed advice! She has a history for hanging up on callers when she disagrees or they debate her response!
Our paper no longer carries the Dear Ann or Abbey columns. We have Dear Amy and she's pretty much awesome. From what I gather she is the mother of a young woman...recent teen...and she would have told that girl to be true to herself, change nothing, continue to be the fun, athletic, pretty young girl she is. She would have told her that when the time is right a REAL prince would come along and she'd still get to be who she is!
Dear Abby is written by her dd who took over the column a few years ago while her mother was still alive but memory was fading..
I also saw that column and thought it was very old fashioned and kind of fake.

My dd, who is 16, also has alot of male friends but has had no romantic boyfriends.
My DD had crushes on certain boys but they were never reciprocated.
