new twist on the school clothes thing...

I sent my 13 yo daughter off with money and a friend yesterday AND today, and she didn't buy one single thing! *sigh* - this means I'll have to take her myself - and this is what it is like: Trail after her to virtually every store in 3 different malls, wait while she tries to ENDLESS clothing, listen to her mope and complain that there is NOTHING that she likes, and finally pick stuff out for her. I almost envy those of you with the daughters that love to shop! LOL- today I gave her very specific instructions to get phys ed shoes and sweats, and she didn't even manage to do that! Meanwhile, my 15 yo son who doesn't generally care WHAT he wears, has decided that he needs "lots" of new clothes and they need to be "cool". AGH!

Not much advice other than what's been discussed on the other school clothes thread, just sending some sympathy hugs your way. My DD was much the same before high school and those beloved uniforms(!) and still is, actually. It tiring and trying, but if your DD has to start school in last years' clothes, so be it. Seems like it's her choice, no?
Hang in there!
