Our French student arrives today for 3 weeks, so I will have 2 16 y/o's in the house!! We did this last year and had lots of fun. We have a different girl this year but I expect we will enjoy the time again! We connected with her on Facebook to get to know her before she came here.

Now to finish cleaning house!

That must be fun to have an exchange student around. I was in the grocery store recently & I saw a mom taking a 20-something girl around and explaining things about the food. She looked a little older so I believe she was an au pair. I know that grocery shopping in Europe is more getting things at different little stores rather than big grocery superstores. I would like to know what people think when they come from other countries. Do you guys speak any French?

My daughter is learning French, she has taken several years and wants to become a French teacher. The kids that come over are supposed to have English as this is more of an English immersion for them. We aren't required to speak any French.
