We all had our chance to say what we needed to say in that other thread.

Thanks bunches, you've give me warm fuzzies! (Which I desperately needed, really.)

I think (now that I actually live here) that Colorado is a great place -- we have all the seasons but none of them to

"told me all about the big party he and SIL are having on Christmas Day, but didn't invite us. Ouch."

That kind of thing has happened to us before, but with friends, not family. It does hurt but I tell myself it probably happens for a good reason, and that we likely would not have had the best time anyhow. And we just set our minds to enjoy doing our own thing.

DS18 and his gf?ex? have been communicating on his laptop using some software where they can see and hear each other. DS gave her a whole virtual tour of our townhouse as he carried his laptop around. Have your kids tried that yet? If not, it would be a good way for them to get in touch with their friends in CA.

It'll be a rather quiet Xmas with just the four of us here in VA. My sisters will be with my Mom in WI, and my brother is staying in OH with his two 20-somethings.

I was just kidding guys (and gals). I know what you were referring to and didn't mean to sound like I was surprised something like that would come from you ;-) I love your addition to this board. Please forgive me for sounding like I really meant it. I'm afraid everyone's walking on eggshells now.
