Let's lighten up a bit here.

*sigh* Here you go again. We're "bored" now, are we?

I can tell you right now, Pam, I come here because it's interesting. I'm not bored: I have a house full of awesome gadgets, wonderful books and hobby materials.

Yet I choose to come here. Stop making assumptions, okay?
Bored is when kids smash bus stops.
Bored is when kids hang out in the car park of Macca's on a Saturday night and leave their rubbish behind.
Bored is vandalising fences with spray paint.
Bored is having sex when your parents aren't home because, well, because you're bored.

I'm not bored.

I have, however, had a gutful of the sarcasm. Don't know what that means? I guess we just don't understand each other.

I know I get paranoid after a troll has been on teh board. The MySpace link thread was suspicious to me but a couple of regulars responded and I clicked on the dang link. Now Im nervous about what I may have done to the computer and my privacy. It is running slow as molasses-coincidence-something I picked up elsewhere???

Anyway, pity the poor person who comes in after a thread like that because I feel suspicious of everyone. And they walk in the lions den-clueless.

I think I have only reported one post in all my IVillage time and it was a personal attack on another board. I need to do more of that and intend to-let the folks in charge determine the validity or lack of....that's what they make the big bucks for ;)

I did, too. Teh page wouldn't come up so I X-ed out, and then my comp started slowing down. It's ok today, though.

How's yours? Think it's a coincidence?

Pam - thank you so much for what you do to moderate this (sometimes unruly) group! I know I enjoy hearing from other parents about their experiences, and to gain different perspectives on raising a teen. I spaced out for a couple of days, and totally missed the most recent controversy (lucky me!)!

There's always got to be 1 or 2 people who have to "stir the pot", no matter where you go. Always 1 or 2 who just not able to see people working things out in a civilized manner. It doesn't matter if it was way back in the old days when I was in high school, college, work, neighborhoods. There's always 1 or 2. Inevitably, the "fun" and "new" does wear off. I've been here long enough to have seen a post or two from anonajohn myself last fall. It's about time he starts showing up. You know, at work, when you say the person's name, they appear again. I wonder if it works the same here?

I have been working from the office for the last few days, guess I missed all the controversy. I did notice a few racy (sexual) posts that I assumed were not from actual parents. Thanks to you Pam for keeping parents from getting attitudes like our teens. Good Lord, this board is for support not attacks and sometimes we all have to agree to disagree.
