tips that you can pass on? For example, when in 'outline view' for the umpteenth time today I finally realized if I scrolled down, all the old board was right there, looking almost like our old board, lol.

Anyone else with little self-found tips you can share?

Hi Jina!

Here's a really helpful site with FAQ's. I found it the most helpful in all of those I've looked into.

I'm not sure if I like or dislike this. It'll probably just take some getting used to...

<> I found that when in outline view, if you click on a post, it opens on the original window UNDERNEATH the outline. Then all you have to do if flip from window to window on the bar on the bottom of your computer, to read just the posts you want. Then you can open another post, thru outline, without hitting the "back" button a dozen times. I also found that you can't get the icon to add or access your favorite boards without signing in. I spent a LOT of time looking for that bloody button, & thinking something was wrong with the boards, till I decided to stop reading & reply. GRRRRR

I KNOW! LOL! I discovered that when I kept clicking on post after post till the entire bottom row of my comp was just a series of slits for open windows, LOL. I am still getting lost on where I'm *at* though.

Thanks sabr :-) It was great to see your friendly & familiar waving hand ;-)

Hi Susan :-) - I'd love to see that site but unless it's somewhere in your message that I just haven't figured out where, it's not here!

Well, I don't know what all I think yet either but it's feeling vastly improved since I checked in before work this morning and could do nothing, lol.

I checked that out yesterday :-) - thanks soopermum. I think I'm just one of those people who need something like Boards 101 ;-) - like step by step, in English *I* use, lol.

Yes, at least this morning I checked into the boards and at least knew this was what I'd be looking at!

If you LOG IN (upper left corner) every time before you start reading and/or posting, the computer will remember which posts you have read. Then the next time you visit (and log in, of course!!) and click on a discussion it will take you straight to the posts that you have not read yet. Then you don't have to read through all of them to see if there's anything new.

Any idea what the "155 views" "55 views" etc refer to, elc? I notice, when in outline, that a thread will have in brackets things like, '6 messages, 155 views" - how many ways ARE there to view a thread anyway, LOLOL??
