Just as a testament to D's sense of humor....while he was talking to the cop, the cop was asking about his clothing, "where are your shoes? (he had on flip-flops and they must've fallen off) and some other stuff.

Yikes, that's scary. Is this the DS in MO whose car was set afire a couple of months ago? What a bummer. I hope they nail the guys/girls involved, and I hope your DS recovers quickly. At least M can remember some details of the crime.

I always think 'drugs' when I hear about this kind of mindless attack. Addicts will do anything to get a little more money for drugs.

No, that was someone else's ds (and I'm sorry, I can't for the life of me remember who that was--someone from the AIk board?)

Ds21 lives in the city nearby, goes to Jr College and works for his dad.

Oh, Mitzi! Lots of prayers & positive thoughts for your DS and his friend (and you)! What a terribly frightening experience. I'm so glad it wasn't worse, although it sounds like it was awful. Thank goodness he will be OK. I'm sure it will take some time to get over the memories of it, but I'm sure he will eventually. Please keep us posted!

DS2 had a concussion from a car accident. He never has remembered the incident. He pretty much lost that day and only knows what he has been told by us and the kids at school(it happened leaving for lunch)

I will also tell you it took awhile for him to get back to normal. No more than it should take a bruise to heal, I suppose, but it seemed like eons to mom here! His short term memory was affected and school was challenging for awhile. But within 6-8 weeks, there was a huge change for the positive

Of course you are pressing charges. There is no excuse for beating someone like that! Boys will be boys and if a punch or two was thrown, that would be one thing. But that kind of beating, likely with a bat??? Totally unacceptable

Hugs to you, and fast healing (physical and emotional) vibes to the guys.
