Okay, must have a lot on my mind this morning ...

Do you take your girls to a pediatrician or OB/GYN?

Especially since it sounds like her issues are female horomone related, I think I'd switch to an OB/Gyn - preferrably female.

Obviously I don't have any experience with a dd and ob-gyn but we switched the boys from a ped. to a regular doctor when they were about 11 and 14.

I was thinking that a female doctor would be the way to go and that this is the time for C to make the switch.

I actually just took Wes to the doctor this past week for a throat culture.

We have both - Leah likes her pediatrician, who's a woman, so we've stayed with her for regular things. I don't have an internist or family phys that I like, so I"m holding off on that switch for right now. We started with my ob-gyn, who's also a woman, this summer to address Leah's lack of periods.

As soon as I find an "adult" doc who I like, I'll switch her there, too. I don't mind a male doc, but I think she'd prefer a woman - so that's what I'm looking for.

When you take all the symptoms together ie irregular periods, a failing acne treatment and perspiration, it SOUNDS like to me, she needs to see a general practitioner.
