Aww, Julie, (((HUGS))) to you and Max! I hope he knows that all girls don't prefer the "bad boys"! There are lots of nice, sweet girls out there who would be glad to have a sweet, loyal boyfriend like him. (Gee--didn't he sort of tell my DD the same thing when her bf got bored with her?! I seem to remember that!)

I think this girl was probably looking for some drama. She is obviously not mature enough to appreciate all of Max's many good qualities. I also think you're right that Max could probably benefit from some "single" time right now.

It is soooo hard to see our kids hurting from these relationships. Hang in there, give Max lots of TLC, and make sure he knows that none of this is a reflection on him!

I'm sorry he is hurting and he is so NOT "stupid"...in the end, it will be her loss and her's alone.

I'm sorry, Julie - it's tough to see your child hurting.

That sucks!!! A big hug for Max.

Ever wonder why so many nice guys and girls are with ppl who are so wrong for them? Why are they not finding each other? I think its because they need to be mature and confident enough to not fall for the easy thing that's presenting itself to them but to wait for the right one that isn't so easy. Tell Max to take some time and think twice before he commits himself again and to look around for the hidden gems out there. They are far more precious...

Now doesn't that just stink?!?! I know why this all happens to the nice kids, because they are the nice kids, that's why. They just don't seem to see others the way they are sometimes. I know Kelsie is like that, sometimes she just thinks someone it so nice, she just can't see their bad side until it slaps her in the face.

Don't you do the same thing? I know I do. I tend to think all people will do things honestly and always be on the up and up, because that is the way I am. Don't you find that to be so?
