I am sure you will be able to arrange a carpool, you take the kids, they pick up the kids. That being said, I am sure your dd will land up joining sports, band, clubs or such even with advanced sourses.

Thanks so much for understanding. DD can definitely walk in good weather but I am in central NJ and I guess I need to worry only if the weather is freezing. You are too funny "found that lo and behold, their legs worked!"

OMG! You have a truly great DD and I hope mine turns out as well-balanced as yours.
I hope we will come with a solution in the next two years. lol.

I've got to tell you that I think even in the winter she'll be fine walking.

DD can definitely walk in good weather but what about winter in central NJ?
You know, the reason I am miffed is: we have been in this neighborhood for 6 years and definitely know people but so far there have been no kids along our route who is the same year or same route as DD. I'm just so not mentally ready to run back and forth to the HS!! maybe if I get over this mental block, I will do the driving myself and let any thoughts of a career go down the ******. (I don't work well in isolation, hence freelancing doesn't appeal to me).

Thanks for your reply,

Hey I'd forgotten that you were in central IL, too! Are you enjoying this absolutely gorgeous weather??

And also please feel free to stay on the board. If your dd is headed to high school in 2 years I'm assuming she's 12-13. I started lurking here when my oldest was 12 to see what I was in for!
