On Sunday morning my daughter left for a senior class trip she didn't want to go on. Partly because her b/f didn't want her to go. Those of you who have read previous posts know how I feel about b/f. This morning she called and told me how much fun she was having and that she was glad she went. I asked if she had talked to her b/f and she nope, which to me was quite strange. I asked if there was problems and she told me that she thought maybe it was time to move on. This morning at about 1 am she called me and told me that she broke up with him. I asked her why and she told me she would explain things when she got home. She will get home Friday night at midnight, the day before her prom. I don't know what happened but for her to break up with him now and have no date I am sure she gave it alot of thought. I am on cloud nine. Thanks for all the advice and if ever I can give anyone advice I will be here

That's great ks. You must feel so much better and now you can relax. Will she go to the prom with her friends? Hopefully she will just be done with him and move on and not think about going back to him like my DD does. It's part of the self-esteem issue, but I think all teen girls sort of have esteem issues... it's hard to watch them figure it out but when they do I think it boosts their self esteem. I've found that keeping quiet is better because they get the satisfaction of handling it themselves. Sometimes I can't help myself and have to put in my 2 cents, but I'm learning. Best wishes to your DD; it sounds like she has a brighter days ahead.
