Rant heard, and validated!

Oooooo...just checked the radar on intellicast.com. That does look nasty! Drive carefully and keep the kids safe at home.

Can you send some fudge my way??? YUMMMM....can feel the holiday spread across my hips already....but that's what January diets are for ....

Anyway, sounds really frustrating being stuck indoors, surly teen and no cable tv to boot.

We lived in an area with a lot of power outages and storms--the ocean met the river once, and we were on the "land" in between.

Being a survivor of the ice storm of 98 that destroyed the power grid of Ontario & Quebec, I understand how horrible it can be. People had no power for weeks here.
And since you need electricity to turn on gas furnaces, it was getting bad here.. burst pipes and all.

Urg. We had ice yesterday. 2 hour delay, when school really should have been cancelled...I drove my girls in, and coming home, slid sideways up my driveway. When I came to a stop, I parked and left the car where it landed, let DH fix it when he got back...so then, DS-18, who has late entry, and is also a super senior due to attendence problems...decides he has to go to school, when for once, I wanted him to stay put...thankfully everyone got home safe and sound.

Glad that tree didn't hit
