Small world....I stayed in Fort Collins the winter of 1978-79...I worked as a nanny and then at a big dept. store in a mall...it was interesting. Don't remember much, whole wheat deep dish pizzas...camping along the Poudre River...that's about it. Hey, it was almost 30 years ago. Oh, yea, and King Soopers. LOL.
We moved mid school year. My kids were 9th grade, 7th grade, and preschool. It was definitely an adjustment--especially for DS #2 because he was the king of Jr. High at the old school, but they now wouldn't leave. I think it was a great confidence builder in all of us--you really learn what you're made of when you start all over again. It lets kids know no matter where they go--college, life, etc.--they have skills and it takes time to make friends and connections.
