ROFL--What WAS he thinking???

Ok, this isn't really about my teen, but about my 20yo ds. Here's the set-up:

Small town, party out in the country. Ds20 is designated driver--since he is not old enough to drink. To get to the party from where ds lives, which is not far, is pretty much back roads--paved, but not heavily travelled at all. It's now close to 1:00am.

Ok, Ds20 accidentally gets a margarita knocked into his lap, absolutely soaking him. Rather than sit around in sticky clothes, he decides to run home and change. He starts to get into his truck, when he decides if he gets in there, the alcohol will get on his seat and take forever to get out. So, what does he do? He STRIPS! I'm telling you , he had on nothing but his cap and a smile! He throws the clothes in the back of the truck, puts his cap in his lap and starts to drive home. Well about half-way there, small town cop stops him for curfew, thinking it was an underaged teen. Of course, it wasn't, BUT, there's my ds, sitting in his truck, nekkid. :P Naturally, the cop wants to know WHY ds is naked and ds explains the whole thing to him. The cop inspects the clothes in the back and gives ds a breathilizer test. He passes it of course and the cop tells him to go home!!

How in the world that child escaped without a indecent exposure ticket is beyond me! All I can figure out is the cop was as stunned as I was (when ds told me this story) and was trying to keep from busting a gut laughing!!

LOL!!! You must admit that your son at least thought the process through. (i'm sure he didn't expect to get pulled over, afterall that was his reason for stripping!!!) I give you kudos for raising a good kid! He very easily could have drank, or got margarita in the car!!!LOL. I'm sure that this will be a stort to share for years to come!!!

Too funny!! That is why I never drive my kids to school in my pajamas--I know it will be the one time I get pulled over!

OMG I didn't even THINK about it maybe being a female cop! I know it wasn't because ds20 kept saying "he". And no, he didn't have to get out of the truck, thank heavens. I told ds20 he better be glad the cop didn't make him to the physical sobriety test (the DUI Dance)!!! LOL

OMG - That is the funniest story I have heard in a long time!! Somehow your son was more worried about getting his car seat damp than driving around naked - I'm having a hard time with the logic LOLOL

He must have an honest face, and an ability to tell a story convincingly, that he got away on that one!

Thanks for the laugh!

OMG ... too funny! I have this picture in my mind -- nothing but a cap and a smile -- walking the line along side the road.

"cop inspects the clothes in the back and gives ds a breathilizer test"

I didn't read all the responding posts, so I'm sure someone else has said this. But, I hope he realizes he could have been made to do the full sobriety test - walking the line and everything. Now, that would NOT have been good. OMG!
