Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Our Christmas has been wonderful and I got a real surprise this morning. We had agreed that Dave and I wouldn't spend a lot of money on each other. I only got him a few small gifts. He had told me that he had gotten something for me that was a little bit more expensive, but that he had been in Italy in May. So I figured he got me something there.

No! I opened a couple small things and then the kids were all excited to see me open my "big" gift. Jaryd had my camera ready. I couldn't believe when I opened my gift. It was a Cricut Expressions, which is a die cutting machine that I wanted for scrapbooking and card making. I never in a million years thought I would get it. It is pretty expensive and I already have the original Cricut. And Dave isn't crazy about my scrapbooking addiction.

I just about fell over! Apparently on Black Friday Dave and Jaryd were in line waiting to get into Target and Dave told Jaryd to keep their place in line that he needed to go into A.C. Moore's. So on the spur of the moment he just decided that I needed to have it so he went and got it.

"as far as every day stuff - it was just kind of pieced together.."

A new set of dishes is a nice gift--enjoy them.

I often eye them in the store but, being the recycler I am, I keep using the old stuff. Mine are a mix of hand-me-down yellow plasticware from my grandmother and my mom, and a few glass bowls that I purchased over the years. One of these days I'll send them off to Goodwill and splurge for a new set.

I know what y'all are talking about as far as everyday stuff. I still have the Corelle that I bought myself when I got out of Nursing School in the 70's and have added another set (a different pattern of course) that I got at a church rummage sale a few years ago.

I would love

Merry Christmas, everyone!! Julie, I'm super impressed that not only did you get a new computer, but that you already have it up and running! That would have taken me a couple of days at least.

My kids are very happy with their gifts. EBay came through for me on that Guitar Hero III for PS2 that was sold out everywhere! We will be going to the mall tomorrow to exchange some sizes/colors for some of the clothes we got, but I have to say that we've been having a very nice Christmas so far.

We have a beef tenderloin for Christmas dinner, so I have a couple of hours off before I have to start that. But it is always super yummy!

Have a great day!

My old stuff is going to Goodwill this week with the exception of a few pieces that were so chipped or stained that I threw them out.

Wow! So Doug sounds like he can do all kinds of cool things, cooking, computer who knows what else, an good looking to boot!!! Sounds good to me.

Ya see if setting up a computer was up to Dave, it wouldn't be days it would be weeks! He is great at a lot of things but computers ain't one of um.

A couple weeks ago I was out somewhere and needed him to look up an address on the internet, I started to tell him the addy and he said "NO! Wait a minute how do I get on?" We have DSL and it usually has one site or another up when he needs to use it, this time it wasn't even connected to the internet. So here I was telling him ...... do you see a red square that says home?
