DD and DH will be walking in the door any minute - and I'm so psyched to see her - it's only been two weeks that she's been away, and I actually saw her a week ago for dinner, but stillllll I miss her! I can't wait to hear all about her experience in "college", and to sit across the dinner table from her!

(((HUGS))) I bet you are about to burst. I never would have imagined missing my kids when they got big! Guess there is still a lot of this mommy stuff that takes me by surprise!

I'll bet she's just as excited to see you, too! I hope she had a really great experience and I'm anxious to hear how it all went, too.

DD had a great time, but was definitely glad to be home in her own space. I think being surrounded by other teen girls 24/7 was getting to her! Most of yesterday afternoon was spent in her bedroom, alone. At one point she came out and said "I hope you don't mind me being so anti-social, I just need the space"

The academic part of the summer at college experience was not too hard for her, and she wasn't really "homesick" in terms of missing us. She also navigated all the administrative and logistical stuff pretty smoothly (I was impressed!). The social stuff was the hard part - it made her appreciate her school friends!

We didn't get too many stories yet, but her style is they come out little by little!

The big treat was last night she and I walked up to get fat-free frozen yogurt, our special summertime "just us girls" treat!
