Ever feel like you are in totally over your head with one of your kids?

Kim, I've not read all the replies yet, but one thought that came to my mind as I was reading, was to not *give* her the opportunity to lie.

KIm, I think you need to let go of some of this stuff, for instance, the brushing of the teeth at night. Do NOT set up a to-do chart. She's too old and actually it could harm her growth responsibility-wise by undermining her ability to figure this stuff out for herself and take responsibility for her care. Since she is brushing in the morning, let it go. You cannot be in contol of all these things past a certain age.

The bcp, imo, is a completely different story. I would seriously consider getting her on the ring or the shot. My dd couldn't take the shots because of her mood disorder. Apparently, it doesn't mix well with that. Haha - so we went with the ring, which dd didn't want to do, but her DR and I pursuaded her to try it and now she loves it. There is virtually NOTHING to remember and no break through bleeding, etc.

I know it's difficult to detach and let these things go, but seriously Kim, she's almost an adult and needs to worry about this stuff in her own time. Brushing her teeth at night is a Basket C issue (meaning not that important in the big picture).
