I still check this board faithfully a few times a day even though my youngest will be 24 in March. Just far enough away from today's teens that I'm having a hard time trying to come up with new topics. Even though I gave up the CL position 3 years ago when Justin turned 20 - this board is still near and dear to my heart. As far as I can tell the 'enhancements' they made a year or more ago have pretty much closed the boards down. I've been on Ivillage for probably 15 years (before it was Ivillage) and made many cyber friends here. If any of you want to keep in touch in other ways send me a PM either with your email or Facebook link (I'm a huge FB gal). My email should be in my profile. I'll still continue to check the board til the bitter end but just in case....

Hi, well I haven't been on here in years and thought I'd check out the boards. Unfortunately, I can't even find any titles of boards, just conversation?  What is going on? I don't know if it's me or what.  I wish I knew who else had boards. Do you know of any? Thanks so much for any help!

Kimmy, I'm just now seeing your story about the couple who were able to take over the cancelled wedding of the young woman in the car crash---great story! It reminded me of another story, this one was in the news a few months back and maybe you heard about it: A young woman cancelled her wedding just a few days before it was scheduled, and her parents had already paid for the hall, flowers, caterer, etc. The family decided that instead of wasting everything they would invite needy people to partake of what would have been the wedding feast. I saw photos, many of the children were in awe at the elegant setting and their parents appreciative of the opportunity for their families to have such a rare treat. It was a very touching story.
