Silly question

My 16 yo dd has accepted a boy's request to go with him to a military dance (the boy is a freshman and participates in ROTC). He said he was wearing his uniform and wanted to know what color dress my dd was going to wear (gracious, she doesn't wear dresses, lol, so now we have to go shopping), and that got me thinking that he is probably going to get her a corsage. So, my question is, is SHE supposed to get him any kind of flower or is that not appropriate since the boy will have on a uniform?
TIA!
Amelia

First thing I never even knew corsages were in vogue anymore!!!!
Thanks! But do you think she should she get him anything (esp. since it appears that he is getting something for her)????

Amelia,
My DH graduated from the United States Naval Academy, I asked him and he said exactly what Diamond said, no flowers on Uniforms.
The rest are right - no flowers on uniforms!
Funny thing, I never thought they went out of vogue. All through high school Kelsie's dates have brought her coursages for formal dances. That is until she started badting SFB and he didn't bring her any for the Tinsel Ball.
I don't think it's necessary for her to get him anything, and I can't imagine what she would get for him anyway since he can't wear any flower.
Thanks, Julie!
P.S. I hope you are feeling better about the weather. You could always take a mini vacation if you need to get away for awhile????
