I was lurking on another board and I learned something...

(Bear with me, I'm trying to be diplomatic and keep myself from being "called in on the carpet" so to speak)

I know you all remember when we as a board were chastised not so long ago, and we had no idea what we had done???

As the one who started the "troublesome" post - I apologize to all of you. Obviously, I posted what I did because I had/have concerns about some poster(s) - but I was careful to NEVER make it about anyone in particular - just about a persistent internet problem.

And to think, I was just in the mood to re-tell the story of the "Billy Goats Gruff" lololol

I much prefer the term 'gnomes' anyway ... makes me think of plastic people with rosy cheeks, wearing red hats and sitting out in the yard all year round.

Certainly no need to apologize.

Back in the 70's I had a large collection of small, ugly, long haired figures. What were they called?? I hear they're worth a lot of money now as collectors items... :-)

Another cl on another board said it...They had a troublesome post, and that word was bandied about.

Sue, no need to apologize all you did was bring up something we were all thinking about and still are. It was being discussed anyway.

Daddioe, I remember those little guys too. In the 60's when I was in 4th grade there was a girl in my class that had a lot of them, probably at least 30 or more. The teacher would let us bring them in and line them up on the front of her desk. I wonder if that girl kept them or not, she'd be able to make a mint right now wouldn't she?

To everybody, personally I don't think we did anything wrong. We never called anyone in particular a name, I don't feel bad and I don't think anyone else should. We all know what we feel about this subject and the possibility of someone dupeing

Hi,

We're closing this thread to further discussion as it has become disruptive.
