Well, bf went to court on Tuesday and things actually turned out pretty good. He was accused of beating up another guy. This was the 2nd hearing, I don't know why there was this 2nd one, I don't understand any of that, anyway.... A goes to court and the other guy comes in and admits to the court that he lied and that A never touched him, he made up the whole thing. So it turns out that A was telling the truth, he didn't do it.
Now this kid admits that he lied and made it up, A gets off and doesn't have to go to Juvie, but guess who does? The other kid, the judge was really po'd because of all the time and expense this kid has caused everybody involved, so he will be in trouble now. I'm glad the judge didn't just let him off with nothing. Hopefully he will learn not to lie about things again, rather than learn not to admit the truth.
Needless to say dd is thrilled. She was worried that he would end up in juvie and she wouldn't be able to see him. Actually I am really glad too. I'm glad he didn't do any of what he was accused of. That is one thing off the list of red flags for this kid.

Glad to hear that A was shown to be telling the truth. Even though you may still be wary about him, at least there's one less thing to worry about.
(((HUGS))) - as we all say, this parenting thing is NOT for the faint-hearted!

I'm glad that was resolved positively for A.
keeping my fingers crossed that A is one of those kids who took a negative detour awhile ago and is now trying to work his way onto a more positive path
I agree with Rose! The other day, Kristie, you mentioned he had done some really thoughtful things, and now this good news too. These are really hopeful signs!
Lots of young men go through phases where they make some errors in judgement.
