A teenage dinner

Last night I had to work late, and my 13 year old ds was home alone. I called him and asked him if he ate dinner. He had a choice of leftover barbequed pork or pizza. He said he ate, but my mistake was not asking him what he ate. When I got home at about 8:20, I discovered that his dinner consisted of raspberry danish, salt & vinegar potato chips, applesauce and peaches dipped in chocolate fondue. I figured, well, at least he got some fruit into his diet. LOL!

Wow, did he melt the chocolate for the fondue? How industrious!

My dd17 is so lazy when it comes to cooking that she rarely will even slap together a sandwich. She will heat something in the microwave or scoop out of a container but that is about it! Even peeling an orange is too much trouble. Her nutrition is really awful. If I didn't fix a real dinner and make her sit down with us she would never eat anything healthy.

Your ds had a lot of fruit in that dinner--and vegetables too!
