Temple Dinner

I coordinated a family dinner at our Temple this past Friday. I asked DD15 if she and a friend or two would help me on the evening of the dinner - she is the Program VP of the Youth Group. Then the Rabbi offered to cover the cost of their meals. I ended up with 5 teenage helpers!! They did whatever I asked them to do cheerfully - including posing for a photo for the newsletter.

Related to the other post about polite - these guys were all so nice and respectful. Yes, goofy and making a little too much noise - but very cooperative and sweet. And at the dessert after the service, they entertained my DS7 enthusiasically - which annoyed DD lol because "they're such *BOYS*!" lolol

It helps to have a (IMHO) cute teenage dd - she asked for help and they all volunteered VERY quickly.

It's times like this one that keep me volunteering with our youth despite the fact that my DD is off to college now. It's great to see them laughing and having fun together but working and serving at the same time!!

It's amazing how young men come to the aid of attractive young ladies, isn't it? Now if I had been the one asking for help, you probably wouldn't have gotten quite the same result - LOL.

It sounds like a wonderful evening -- glad it went well for you.
