We have AT&T (formerly Cingular) and they can also completely block texting.

We have a family plan which includes 2 DDs.

As far as i'm concerened you go girl. I havea 20 yr ds gave him a cell when he was 12 everyone thought i was crazy back then. Now you take your 12 yr olds away from him and your crazy, Geeze people. It is a privlidge not a necessity.I did it so he could keep in touch during games and such. HAVE YA SEEN A PUBLIC PHONE ANYWHERE? At the age of 12 ( Ihave all boy's 13 yrDS also) he should not have to be texing that much not to mention the times of the texing my gosh.So what you took it away (you are the mom ) and he doesn't get to stay in touch with his friends doesn't he haveany in school and maybe just maybe he will learn something from this lesson. I have found out if his friends really want to get intouvh with him they will. Myspace, facebook, homephone you name it.
