I just wanted to thank you all who resonded to me earlier this week when I was at the end of my rope with my 13-year-old daughter. You really got me through. With my husband out of town and out of touch for the week, I really needed some other adults (other than my parents) to talk to.
In therapy yesterday, we discovered that it was a series of misunderstandings. We are now signed up for family therapy, including all four of us. I feel so much better, I just can't even begin to convey the difference. I think everything is going to be alright now.
Thanks again,
Leigh Anne

I'm glad things are going better for you (even though I wasn't one of those who had initially responded to you). Sometime I just don't know what the answer is to all the teenage angst that we, as parents, have to deal with, and I am glad that there are a lot of good people here on this board. I hope things continue to go well for you.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm counting the years till they grow up now. But then I know it will be over too soon. Maybe this difficult stage is almost over, now.
Hope you have a nice weekend.
L.A.
