My teen boys don't watch any of the "teen" shows on cable or network TV. Perhaps it is because they have younger siblings who are 11 and 4, but the shows my almost-17 and almost-15 year old like are:
Dirty Jobs on Discovery Channel
Mythbusters (also Discovery Channel)
Anything on the Food Network
Cartoon Network (yes, still)
All of the "TeenNick" shows (Zoey 101, Drake and Josh, Unfabulous, and now iCarly)
My very artistic 14-year-old likes some of the design shows on HGTV and my honors student-geek 16-year-old likes to watch the History Channel.
Our family only owns one TV, so we tend to watch things that most of us can enjoy, even if that means singing along with the Backyardigans with their little sister.
I'm a teen and I really like reality competition shows like Project Runway, Top Chef, America's Next Top Model, and so you think you can dance. I also like detective shows like Law & Order and Without A Trace. And some of the MTV or VH1 shows aren't too bad...I like to watch My Super Sweet 16 and make fun of the spoiled brats. Gilmore Girls is a good teen show...sad it's over :( they rerun it quite a bit though.
Some of the stuff I watch are things parents don't like as much...That 70s Show, Family Guy, etc...but I'm 19 so my mom gave up on keeping me away from those a couple of years ago. I just don't watch it while she's in the living room if I know it's a show she doesn't like.
Other than the shows ds15 likes that I consider 'junk' (sorry; JMHO - but stuff like That 70s Show has no redeeming qualities to me), his only other show to watch is House. It has given him aspirations of a medical career. Now only if his grades would comply...

My oldest likes "Whose Line" too!
My dd15 likes to watch Tyra Banks' show America's Next Top Model, and also the fashion designer one (with Heidi Klum) when it is on.
My 17-year-old will watch anything to do with Gordon Ramsey (Hell's Kitchen) and
Hockey Games. Sometimes, he watches the Simpson's. That's it.
My 19-year-old would watch ER & Gordon Ramsey & the rare "chick flick". Now, in university, she doesn't have a TV & doesn't miss it.
Almost 16yo DD LOVES CSI -- she tivo's every episode of the Las Vegas and Miami versions and watches them after school.

You know, I think kids can actually learn a lot from those CSI shows that make aspects of science more interesting in a "hands on" way.
