A ring-tone that kids can hear and grown-ups can't. I just tested it with my DS7 and he said "Mom, STOOOOOOOOOP! That's annoying." I can't hear a thing! Here's the article from the newspaper:

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/12/technology/12ring.html?ei=5094&en=f6f68dd7c0b578ee&hp=&ex=1150171200&adxnnl=1&partner=homepage&adxnnlx=1150110131-dyNSsK3RtJvQHb5QAvl/aQ

Here's a link just to the mp3 of the ringtone:

So interesting! My DD and I could hear it but my DH couldn't. My DD must have heard it louder than I did because she was in the other room and said it was loud and painful. I was sitting at the computer and just heard it as a high-pitched whine.

OMG!!! I was trying to get it, and playing with the speakers turning them up - I honestly thought they were off! Suddenly my 7 year old daughter said "mom - turn that DOWN! I've already got a headache!!". My 13 year old DD could hear it to - Kiana says "car tires screeching" and Morgan says "The static-y whine when a tv is between stations". I admit that it almost made my ears "hurt" - in the same way as cabin pressure on an airplane - I could tell when it stopped. TOO WEIRD!!

OMG, I didn't hear a thing yet my 17 y.o. did. I'm going to try it with my 21 y.o to see what happens with her. Next, I'm going to go back and read the article since I find this very interesting.
