Definitely either call or go to the door when you drop him off to make sure some one will be there.

I agree that there should be an adult home if they are at her home. There is just too much temptation if they are there alone. If they want to spend time together and she drives, how about they come to your house and hang out? Is there a specific reason why they want to be at her house?

My dd hates when i make sure there will be an adult present at parties etc, but I do it anyway. There is one friend I let her have over and she goes there if there aren't parents present, but it is her best girlfriend. There is no way I would do it if it were a boys house she was going to.

We also have a very firm rule that a parent has to be at home. I've heard that plenty can happen even at the movies, even when they're with a group. And I'm sure they can get away with things even with a parent in the house. But as Pam says, there's no reason we have to make it even easier for them. My DD sneaked over to her boyfriend's house last year when she told me she was going to be at another friend's house. I found out about it and to this day, it bothers her that she can't figure out how I knew! LOL. I love to keep her guessing because I think it prevents her from trying it again!
