There was no need to be nervous, the party was fun. It was a small party so it didn't seem overwhelming. His mom actually treated me just as she did the other members of her family, like I wasn't someone new that everyone had to critique. Their house usually is a zoo, so the atmosphere was light. Everyone has dogs and they bring them to every function, Corgis to be exact and they were all there, 4 of them, including a 16 week old puppy.
Yes I survived and even bought some nice bath items for myself. Now my dd is hosting a party and where is she having the party...... at her b/f's house LOL His mom was all excited about her having it a her house and said that all the people that were there would come back for her party.
Here we go again!!!!!

I'm glad it all worked out! Sometimes the fear is in the anticipation, not the actual event!

Andie, I think sometimes the anticipation of an event such as the MK party, is worse than the actual party!! I've been anxious about going to things like that, especially if they are hosted by my DD's friends or boyfriend's moms, but they usually turn out to be quite fun. Glad you enjoyed it. Just curious....why is DD not having the next party at your house?
Nancy
We have a very small house, not much room for partying and we have a Jack Russell Terrior or Terror as we know her. She will not leave people alone. We call her Miss Congeneality, she loves to be around people. dd b/f's mom knows the dog and that is why she offered to use her house. LOL
