Update to "I miss her"

DD and I had a nice talk yesterday. I told her I was sorry for the way I was behaving and it was brought on by a combination of things, mostly I just missed her. I told her it wasn't her fault and it was natural and that I did it to my mom (mom and I had a long talk about it yesterday). That combined with everything going on our lives right now (just moving back to the states, now going back to Europe, Dh leaving, winter *ughhh*, etc) was hitting me pretty hard. I was in a good frame of mind (thanks to all my responses in my other post) and we had a good long talk. She was adamant that she doesn't want to grow up and push me away. She, ds and I then sat down and had another long discussion on how we could better relate with one another. It actually was quite enjoyable! *I figured I would get the typical groans, but that didn't happen.

Anyway, we discussed ways for all of us to spend time together every night. DD wanted to sit down right that moment and have a schedule LOL In her mind we are all going jogging every Mon, Wed, Fri and Yoga on Tues. and Thurs. Along with going out to eat every Mon. followed by shopping. Friday is game night. Saturday night is their sleep over days (either they go to a friends or a friend comes over here) Oh and there was a movie night thrown in there too. We have also agreed to having dinner together every night if possible. There is a beauty night thrown in there somewhere as well. Seems a little much and maybe to good to be true, but we will play it by ear and go on that.

We talked about Spring Break going to see dh and what we will do while there. In the middle of the discussion, my MIL called to discuss us coming out to San Diego to visit this summer before we leave. This led to us discussing all the things we will/can do out there.

Again thank you all SO MUCH!! I was really feeling down and sad and like I was the only mom in the world to go through this.

You gals are awesome!

That sounds great! Im glad it's working out. Sounds like DD really does want to spend ALOT of time with the family.

How wonderful that you were able to talk to her and that she wants to spend time with you badly enough to "schedule" it! Boy, it sounds like you've been through a lot lately - no wonder you were down!

Glad things are loooking up.
