I AM NO LONGER PULLING OUT MY HAIR!!! (for now) I AM STRESS FREE!!!!
I wanted to let ya'll know that my DH and I FINIALLY came to an agreement with our DS (who dosen't save for ANYTHING) in regards to his (DS) want for a permit and a car. DH and I agreed that we would give DS a "project". He was asked (and it is totally optional) to: (all on paper mind you) find a job, including how many hours he will be schedule for, rate of pay, get a car: either via internet or paper, find insurance for that car and gas mileage, maintence etc... and write everything down so that he can see that isn't cheap to own and drive a vehicle. He was told that he did not have to do this project, but that he was not allowed to get his permit untill he showed responsibility enough to save money towards this. We aslo told him that he had numerous oppertunities to work for the neghibors for $$$ and that was up to him as well. (we will not ask him to work, (or tell him) or ask if he is saving or how much. It is up to him to show us that he can do this without having to be nagged. DH and I agree that having a vehicle (especially at 16) is a HUGE responsibility and if DS wants it, he will have to prove it. Thank you all for all your advice I guess I took a peice from everyone. Take care!!!!!
