Are your teens home from school today? Mine are and I'm feeling the weirdest sense of deja' vu ... it's 8:40am and they're both still asleep. It's feels just like when they were tiny and napping. The house is so quiet and still, but I can feel their presence ... weird, huh?
(And no, I've not been drinking :-0)

Nope; we're not off work, ds isn't off school...and if I told him others were, I'm sure I'd get the 'that's not fair!' response.

Julie, my kids don't have school either. Luckily, I never work on Fridays, but having them home has disrupted my regular routine. I haven't even been to the gym and it's 3 pm! DS has already been to the mall with friends, and they are now at a friend's house "hanging out". DD spent the night with her friend, and after I picked her up and she changed, she went to meet two other friends. I dropped them off at Starbucks to meet some other friends, and they are going to the movies nearby.
It's just me and ds10 at home now, and I don't feel right leaving him alone to go to the gym. Then again, maybe I'm just making excuses...We've already been to Blockbuster to get our movies for the weekend (regular Friday night thing). I'm trying to clean up my desk and not really inspired to do so, kwim? Because here I am on POT instead of working on the pile on my desk.
I'm deluding myself that she wants "quality time" with dad, but I think money had a large play in it... :-)
It was really fun though. She actually helped out quite a bit and got some good positive feedback from the staff.
