I am still trying to digest what all the doctor told me.
In short version; I am in for 1 to 3 major surgeries depending on the schedualing of the tests. if all the answers are at hand when I go in for the 1st one , he will do all 3 at once.
There is a golf ball size mass in my pancrease, scare tissue on smaller intestine, and a gallstone that was missed durring last surgery.
So I spent a long time surfing the web today about pancreatitis.I wanted to understand what this is.
In the mean time , I told dd I would pay for doc office, but if she had to have the hospital , it was her nickel. we'll see what she decides.

{{{Dee}}} ALL of your focus should be on you right now. It is not selfish to take care of one's own health. Your dd's mole is non-life threatening, right? It becomes a non-issue at this time and you should not even give in to discussing it until after you've had your surgeries and recovered fully. Let her stomp around and be pissy = it's high time she realized that her WANTS do not come before your NEEDS. I am always so amazed at the selfishness of some people. Ugh.
Be gentle with yourself and many many hugs - I will keep you in my thoughts.
Dee,
Five years ago, I was struggling with a debilitating condition and in excruciating pain. I gave just about a year of my life to it (and then some, really) and understand completely what you are going through. My DD was 10 and DS 7 at the time, so much younger than your DD. When mom is out of commission, it is very hard on the entire family.
Please do not let your DD guilt you into overdoing it during this time. Take care of yourself and take all the time you need to heal, get better and recover. You can't take care of your family if you don't take care of yourself first.
Good luck with your surgery.
Julie
Thank you all for your support. This really means alot to me.

Best wishes to you. Please take care and I hope your pancreatitis clears easily. I used to work in CCU and the patients we got had severe cases of it, and it was painful.
If the mole hasn't been changing colors and looks just like it has for the last year or two, then it can wait. Yours can't wait!
