Hi Sunny,

I just read an article that says teens don't fully stop growing untill they are 18. Of course it slows down and is not like big growth spurts when they are younger.

Hope this helps.

Looks like you caught Rose's run-on text disease, LOL!

Couldn't get all the details from your post, but I think a lot has to do with when girls go through puberty. I was late (14), and shot up late--was always the shortest in my class until I was a sophomore in HS, when I suddenly became average height.

If your DD was early onset puberty there's probably less hope of adding height than if she was later. 5'4" is not that short. If weight is a problem try getting her to exercise. Anything aerobic for cardio plus pilates--it is great for the midsection, hips and thighs. I've never been able to do tapes at home. When I'm in a class I'm much more motivated and the workout is twice as good.

I was the short one in my family. I'm 5'5" and both my sisters are 5'9". Now we're all 50+, but I'm in better shape than they are cuz I'm more serious about exercising. My 90 yo mom, whose shape genes I'm sure I inherited, has been an apple the past 30 years; so I'm afraid my day is coming.

Oh, well, my dd got her period first or second or third in her grade...So, I guess she is not going to be as tall as she likes.
