Oh, I know what you mean! C was such a fussy and demanding infant/baby/toddler that I remember practically wishing the time away and for her to 'grow out' of whatever challenge she was presenting me at the time. And now it's just two years until she heads off for college and I wish I could have that time back. It's all true what they say about childhood being fleeting.
Happy Birthday to Jason! I hope this year is a happy one, but most importantly, a healthy one, for him.
Hey Pam - I hear you! My "baby" - Tom turned 21 on 5/23/07- suddenly he's "legal" and I agree : Where did the time go? seems like I was just taking him to kindergarten and suddenly I see this nice young man walking around!
Pam, what's the word on Jason's plans for this fall? Last I knew he was looking at transferring programs and perhaps schools to go premed? Last week we attended orientation at Arkansas with Chris. He met his roommate, got his schedule, met with Honors College advisors, etc. They did a great job presenting lots of info for students and special meetings for parents. I actually feel pretty good about sending him down there.........til I think about that 520 mile stretch of road that will be between us and him!
Congrats to Jason on his admittance to NW- it is a wonderful school and I am sure he will be a great success there. Sorry to hear he's hit a rough patch with the ED. Hopefully it is just a bump in the road and he will soon be back on an even keel. We're having a tough time here as well- Chris was diagnosed with depression a year ago and successfully managed it with meds for the past year but has really struggled this month. It's been emotional though, with graduation and an untimely track injury that kept him out of postseason tournament competition (not what you want esp as a senior). He had a real meltdown after orientation week- while down at his GF's parents' home- fortunately GF's mom is a nurse and was great with him. He has a Dr appt today to review meds.
Oh, these high-achieving, type-A boys. Gotta love 'em.
