Deb from Central IL
Married for 25 years with three boys-22, 19, and 16
DH and I only have one parent left between us-his mom is 93 and we will be heading over to IN to see her and a few others SOMETIME. The boys all want to go which is awesome(the 22 yr old is choosing his GM over going to Louisiana with GF to see her family)But it is so tough to work around 4 peoples work schedules!!!
Looks like we may head over Xmas day actual just because its the only guaranteed day off for all of us.
I'm thinking of a white Xmas tree this year. When I was younger, it had to be fresh. Then I accepted fake green and now......white. I always thought those were for old people-guess I was wrong ;)

Either you were wrong or you are getting old. (Yuck Yuck, only kidding you know) you stepped right into that one! (hope you don't mind my humor as bad as it is)
Hi All -
I'm Lisa from North Carolina, married to DH for 18 years. We have DS, 16 and DS, 9.
We celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas - although both will be a little different this year. Younger DS is getting his tonsils and adenoids out next Tuesday, so he'll feel like "crap" during Hanukkah. He just started a year round school schedule this year and will be off the entire month of December.
I started hosting Christmas several years ago so we could always have an excuse to stay in town. We're going to ask in-laws to host this year since there will be more than usual in town for the holiday. We will offer to cook the turkey and do a lot of the work, though. DS is going to London on the 28th with his school chorus and will be turning 17 on the plane trip home.
This board offers GREAT support. Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to all.
Lisa
