I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this. I missed it. DD had some trouble with sleeping when she first started Strattera so we changed it so that she takes it early a.m. with her breakfast. She experienced a little nauseau when the doc was playing around trying to get the correct dosage but now that that's been stablized she's been fine.
She decided on her own to quit taking it so she hadn't taken it in about a week when she had to start work on her senior term paper. Talk about a meltdown. I literally had to sit in a chair in the office with her the entire time she worked on this paper. I didn't have to do anything but just sit there to keep her focused. I wasn't allowed to read, listen to music, watch tv, embrodiery, nothing - it was too distracting. If I left to go to the bathroom or get a drink, I would come back and she wouldn't have accomplished anything. That week really tested my parental patience b/c she brought it on herself by not taking her medication but this was a dual credit - high school and college both - class and this paper was a huge portion of her grade. Anyway, she learned a huge lesson that I hope she remembers when she is actually in college b/c momma won't be in her dorm room to sit beside her. BTW, she got an A on the paper.
If you haven't tried Strattera, give it a shot and see how it works for you. Good Luck!
