Boxers are a Christmas staple in our home, whether DSs like it or not. And I might add razors/razor blades this year. With 3 men in the house again during Thanksgiving, DH, and both DSs complained that there were no decent razors in the house. I gave them some cheap Bic disposables I sometimes use and they complained like crazy.
When it comes to clothes, we had DS24 who shopped at Goodwill starting at age 16, and DS18 who ogled Abercrombie, but settled for TJ Maxx and Old Navy. He is definitely more particular about clothes and he has way too many. His gf has expensive taste that's rubbing off on him, I'm afraid; he charged, to our credit card, a pea jacket from Guess for $150+, and told us that was his Xmas gift from us. All he'll have to open is his boxers and a "U-O-us" $50 note, since our big gift is always limited to $100. (To his credit, he DID call me to get approval to order a pair of $5 red pants for Xmas--can't wait to see those!)
LOL, Julie - all we need to do is look at the recent photos to know that W is 'growing up' into a handsome, poised young man!!
My 'growing up' heartbreak moment is that S no longer wants me to walk him *into* school, a drop off on the sidewalk is fine....and kissing in front of the friends (even a quick peck on top of his head) went out of fashion in September!

My 12 yo son announced this year that, except for snowy/icy/rainy days, he prefers to walk to school and home alone.

LOL!!!
Jaryd's idea of asking for clothes is wanting a Sabres jersey. Oh and he did ask for a couple hoodies.
Kelsie on the other hand hasn't asked for anything but clothes. But that's a 17 yo girl for ya!
<<For a lot of years it was tradition that the boys would get new boxers for Christmas - always the funniest looking Christmas ones I could find.>>
I do that with C and W for their stockings.
