Hello,

I have an 18 year old daughter that I'm very worried about and I could really use some advice.

My daughter has been in and out of trouble for most of her teen years.

Some kids need a major wakeup call before they start to turn things around.

I have an 18 yr old son who just graduated HS and although he was accepted to a good school, he is now refusing to go b/c he wants to stay near his GF (who is still in HS)....he has refused to get a job since March, and I finally had to tell him that his obsessiveness over the GF (Texting 24/7 literally...and spending every possible second together) is not going to be tolerated and that if he's not going to college, that he will have to have a FT job by the 16th or he will have to find somewhere else to live and find some other way to pay for a cell phone.

She failed the permit test 7 times so does not drive and she now wants a tatto desperetly, she allready is piercesed to the nine on her face. I know she dirinks with her friends and does drugs, all drugs she loves pot....No one can relate to me or understand any of this but she needs help and I cant help her she won't let me..

Nobody said being a parent was easy and nobody was certainly correct.

God knows that I would "brain the kid with and ax" if I had to deal with some of the problems other parents have to deal with and God knew

Rose, with all the stressors in your life you CAN'T control--job, N's pregnancy & wedding, the boys deployments--S is the one thing you CAN control.

I agree, that if we had N & T living here, it would be lots less drama than it is having S live here.

I agree that the reality of having adult freedom isn't always what it was cracked up to be.
