I think comparing yourself to others & what they have generally causes a lot of unhappiness, as you said.

Sabrtooth, you are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO spot on with your descent from my corvette point.
I have to completely agree about moving into young adulthood rather than adolescense... the whole concept of adolescence - which now extends to nearly 30 y/o in some circles - encourages people to delay growing up and being responsible for themselves.
I'm convinced that the whole "brain not fully matured until 25" comes from kids not being expected to use their brains until that point!

Thank you...everyone says it will get better...I think as moms we believe that our kids actions are a refelection of how good or bad job we have done...some behavior we can't control...especially when it's coming from a teenager!!!
