Thank you so much melissa for the link.. funny thing is that this is the exact book i got the day I wrote this post. I have not yet read it with him. I did talk to his teacher and it turns out they are doing a unit on the body/health and learning about organs and digestion (from food to poop).
I think you are handling this in the best way possible.
