6 yrs old old enough 2 to bathe herself?

Hey everyone! I'm just curious...Do you think my six year old daughter is old enough to bathe/shower herself? I have a friend whose daughter is 7 and she talks about her washing herself. I still bathe my daughter, I mean she helps but I'm not sure she's responsible enough to make sure she's completely clean. She has pretty long hair and needs shampoo

I am in the same boat, um...tub, as you. My son is 6 yo and I feel he is getting to the point in his life where he is starting to be more modest and might soon want complete privacy altogether. He doesn't seem to care if I wash him
So to answer your question, I think some kids are & some aren't.
My soon to be 6 yo washes herself in the tub or shower and will try to wash her own hair.
My 7 year old daughter just starting taking showers alone...but I think that it depends on the child because my niece at 7 wasn't bathing herself. But I think that she was afraid of the faucet or something. My daughter, I didn't want her alone because her father was abusive.
I think maybe allow her to try it and see. I remember my would ask me when I was little..and done with a shower, if my ears were clean or if my toes were..making it a little fun. But then she didn't ask anymore I guess as I got the hang of it.
