I live in a small town too ... in the south. This is something fun we do as a family ... www.postcrossing.com You sign up to send and receive past cards from around the WORLD. We put them in a photo album and look at them fairly often .. talk about the pictures, learn about the cultures on line. Plus we send some too and the kids enjoy adding their 2 cents!
It a ton of fun.
