My youngest is becoming impatient to lose her first tooth! Almost all of the other kids in her class have lost at least one and none of hers are even loose yet. Have any of your 6 or 7 year olds lost any teeth yet? Should I be concerned?

Oh, I'm so glad to see this! My first grader hasn't lost any yet either and I was seriously considering a call to the dentist.

My kindergartener just turned 6.  She had to have her upper left front tooth removed after an accident involving hotel beds and her's sister's chin, but she hasn't lost any naturally yet.  We were at the dentist a few months ago and the dentist said it would be a bit still til she lost any and that they tend to go in order of the two front bottom ones first then the two top ones.  DD was wondering when her tooth would grow in from the removal and the dentist said it would be a while still, and not until she had lost her bottom teeth naturally.  I have also hear the later their baby teeth come in, the later they begin loosing them.

I know the age range is pretty wide...I want to say it's anywhere from 4 1/2 to age 7 or 8 that it's "supposed" to happen. My first son lost his first tooth at age 5 1/2 and with my second son, he had just turned 7.
