Hi, Melissa

I really wanted to plant a big garden this year but I was a bit afraid to do it.

I think its wonderful that your 6 yr. old son loves gardening. I have a 5 yr. old who has loved to help me in the garden ever since he was 2 yrs. old. I shows them how their hard work pays off and teaches them the importance of learning different things in life such as gardening, chores cleaning their room helping prepare dinner etc. . My son knows how to clean his room, set the table, help prepare food for meals, and so on. I enjoy watching him learn to do different tasks and it also teaches our children that if you want anything in life you have to work for it. Another plus about children learning to do different tasks is that it helps them to learn more easily in and out of school as well as it helps them to use more of their brain.
