Kids can sometimes have accidents if they have an infection. I think that I would take her to have a urine culture, just to be safe. If that is clear, then maybe your Ped has some insight as to why this would suddenly begin. Does she have any stress right now? Does she wait too long to go? Just some thoughts. My DD hasn't had accidents, but she is a kid that will be fine & the need to go urgently. I am always asking her to before she is about to pee her pants, but she still does it.

I would check with the doctor also, just to rule that out.

Hi there!

Don't worry I still have the same problem with my DD once in a while. And she is a few years older then your DD!

I would have her checked out to be on the safe side but I honestly think it is just a phase! I am sure she will grow out of it soon.

I would suggest getting some Underjams or Goodnites to use. They look and feel just like regular underwear and my DD likes them a lot. No one can tell she is wearing them and if she ever does have an accident, she is protected till she gets home to change! I think it would solve a lot of problems for you!

Hope everything works out!

Keep us posted!

I've only posted on this board a few times, but I wanted to reply.

I never thought about shyness, that's a really good point.
