Big day for my little ones!

Today was a day just chock full of momentous events - at least, they were momentous for a seven and a four year old!

First off, my four year old daughter had her ballet recital. It was so cute and I was so proud of her! I still can't believe that my sweet, somewhat shy girl can get up on a professional sized stage in front of a packed theater and dance! We had a blast! (And incidentally, I did a little better with the crying this year. Last year, I cried at every single dance routine no matter who was dancing. This year I managed to only cry at the littlest girls, whether or not my daughter was there. Next year I hope to only cry during my OWN daughter's routine! :) )

After the recital, we went and had lunch and then went and picked up my daughter's very first bike that we had purchased a few days ago and left to be put together. Then we took the training wheels off of my seven year old's bike (I know - WAAAAY late!) and went to the park to ride. It was my daughter's first time ever on a bike and my son's first time without training wheels. I would say my son had the hardest time. But he met with success in the end, as I knew he could.

Then, we got home and he lost one of his front teeth! Wow!

Hope you all are having a good weekend!

Sounds like a great day!! Congratulations on the ballet recital and new bikes and riding without training wheels.
We are having somewhat dull weekend. It rained all day yesterday, DS had his tennis lesson, he is into tennis and practices in the basement in all his spare time. DH put up some panels that he can hit and he loves it.
Today is a bit sunny so DH took the kids to the park, on bikes(and there is a tennis court there so they all played tennis) while I had a bit of time alone.
I am taking them to watch Over the hedge in the afternoon.

Oh, have fun at the movies!

We went and saw Over the Hedge last weekend. (It rained non-stop Memorial Day Weekend.) Anyhow, OtH was WAY funnier than I expected it to be. We all quite enjoyed it. There are, of course, the requisite burping and bodily function jokes, but not TOO many of them. The movie reminded me a lot of Toy Story - lots of little beings dealing with a much bigger beings' world.

The movie was a lot of fun. Kids had a great time, and I enjoyed it as well.
And it is finally warm and sunny here, so hopefully we can have some outside fun this week.
